On July 26, 2025, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) officially opened at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. TCab Tech proudly showcased its groundbreaking E20 eVTOL as the only eVTOL OEM exhibiting at this year’s conference, demonstrating the transformative potential of AI in urban air mobility to a global audience.
During the event, TCab Tech launched bookings for the E20 eVTOL Cabin Experience via WeChat, where attendees could scan a QR code. The experience attracted continuous enthusiastic crowds.
The E20 eVTOL is TCab Tech’s independently developed manned electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, integrating cutting-edge flight control technology and AI systems to deliver intelligence, safety, and cost-efficiency. Featuring a tilt-rotor design, the aircraft can reach speeds up to 320 km/h, carry five passengers, and travel up to 200 km per flight. Its operating cost is compressed to approximately 3-4 RMB per passenger-kilometer, making it highly viable for commercial deployment.
The intelligent avionics and flight control system onboard the E20 was co-developed by TCab Tech and AVIC’s Computing Institute. By embedding AI algorithms within the flight control framework, the aircraft achieves highly precise and stable dynamic control during complex flight phases such as tilt transitions, cruise, and route planning. This technological foundation is critical for the future realization of fully autonomous flight.
As a tech company committed to providing safe and convenient air mobility to the public, TCab Tech firmly believes that the next phase of urban development is not just about faster transportation, but about fairness — ensuring broader access to the benefits of technology. We believe the ultimate value of AI lies not in its complexity, but in its ability to address real-world needs, enhance public life, and improve social well-being.
TCab Tech is committed to making eVTOLs a part of everyday life — not a luxury for the few, but a visible, accessible, and trusted mode of transport for all.
