On November 15th, Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Plantation and Commodities Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and a delegation visited the R&D center of TCab Tech in Shanghai. TCab Tech Founder and CEO NG Yon Wui hosted the delegation.
Yon introduced the global trends of electric aircraft industry, the TCab Tech E20 eVTOL product, and its operating scenarios to DPM Fadillah. DPM Fadillah praised Yon for starting a high-tech company in China and the accomplishment of the tilt-rotor E20 eVTOL, and he wished that E20 eVTOL would be commercialized in Malaysia in the near future.
Malaysia is a resource-rich archipelago country with a thriving tertiary industry such as tourism, which accounts for more than 50% of the total output value. In addition, Malaysia has a certain foundation in the aerospace supply chain and is one of the world's major industrial chains for aircraft structural components and repair, operations and maintenance services. Next year, China and Malaysia will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and Malaysia continues to deepen and make solid progress, and the results of our cooperation are showing in various fields.
Yon said that TCab Tech has kept close communication with Malaysia’s relevant authorities for both aircraft certification and business development. “We will make full use of Malaysia’s unique tourism resources and manufacturing capabilities to promote the potential collaborations on aerial sightseeing and air travel, and to promote the high-quality development of eVTOL industry.”
